How teaching and learning is organized in the CP
The CP organizes teaching and learning through the student’s chosen career-related study pathway courses, at least two DP subject groups, in addition to the CP core. Students choose at least two DP courses from within the six subject groups. For most DP courses, students take written examinations at the end of the CP (in May of their senior year). In many programme areas, students complete externally assessed coursework. Components of the CP core require students to produce coursework, for example.
CP students will complete the core components which consist of the Personal and Professional Skills course, complete a language portfolio, participate in service learning or CAS, and complete a reflective project. Please see the IB Facts Page for more information.
